My 90 gallon Oceanic

Here is my newly established 90 gallon. Just finished combining my 46 bowfront and 16 bowfront last night. Forgive the milky appearance of the water. It is still cloudy for obvious reasons.
I still have to figure out where to place the frogspawn. I may have to frag it.

Thanks. rarely do we get aquascaping right the first time, but our plan to buy big pieces of rock paid off. It does not look like a pile of rubble.

I kept some choice pieces to set up a second 7 gallon minibow.
When does it ever end :D

Really like the rock where did you buy it from? Approx how large is the biggest piece the only reason iam asking is because i am setting up a 75g and can't decide on what type of rock to purchase.

Thanks. I bought most of the live rock from Allquatics in hamilton NJ. The 2 largest pieces are about 30 pounds each. Most are between 10-15lbs.

At first I thought we had made a mistake and bought too many pieces of large rock, but combined with the smaller pieces we pulled from the 46 and 16 it all worked out fairly well.

I was getting tired of my tanks just looking like piles of rubble and figured large pieces would be the best way to avoid that look.

It's been over a month since I set this tank up- time for an update.

A couple of changes during the past month. Replaced the Ushios which were too yellow for my tastes for a pair of Phoenix 14k 250w. I like the blue appearance much better. Although with my limited photography skills a lot of my photos look too purple. In person it looks fine .:p

I also added a pair of Tuze 6055's. That makes four total. Yes it's probably overkill but my girlfriend wanted to make the most of the Tunze multicontroller and my birthday was coming up so who was I to argue.

I have to get around to fragging the large frogspawn dead center. It was great as the centerpiecs for my 46, but in this tank there just isn't enough room.

Thanks. Jessica has been trying to sell frags of it on Craigslist but we've been getting some crazy responses. Now she wants to frag heads and sell it to Steve for credit. All I know is it has to get much smaller because it is taking up valuable space.

Yes, luckily my girlfriend likes the tanks as much as I do. For Christmas she bought me the Tunze 7095 multicontroller and a pair of 6055's. I love the way you can make all kinds of wave patterns and adjust the flow of the powerheads.

They may be overkill on the 90 for now, (most of them are at 60%) but I'm sure within a couple of years we will be upgrading to a larger tank anyway so thy can make the move as well.

Your a lucky man
