My Bigger Piece of the Reef (LotsOPics)

My exit strategy is to move him to my other tank which has enough algae for all... You be the fish wisperer... and I will be the bristle worm wisperer.

My post from yesterday apparently vaporized...

I would take the blenny back to the store. I doubt it will survive much more than a week in your system. Sorry to say that, but they need a lot of algae and I have yet to hear of one eating nori.

I've had my lm blenny for 5 years, he eats ANYTHING that hits the water....his favorite is nori though....goes nuts when I put the clip in....

and there you have it. it's so interesting to hear and read the different behaviors our fish exhibit. That's really cool!

Here's my new top off system (for now)... The rear bucket has calcium water and is set to dispense for about 7 minutes at 6 am & 6pm. The front bucket has alk supp in it and is set to dispense on the 12's...

And they are on a rollout type shelf for easier filling.

I only wish mine was that neat. Imagine how much time it took to get those cords coiled and zip-tied like that!

I'm hosting the Orlando Reef Caretakers Association meeting next month. Guess what I'll be doing in the next couple of weeks?

 sucks to be you! Yeah I know how that is...I broke at least one thing each day during the two weeks I prepped for the PSAS meeting. Cost me about $700.

Sure wish I could join you though. That will be a lot of fun.

Joe Burger will be the speaker. Here's his site: http://www.cnidarianreef.com/ looks like it needs an update.

His tank: http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2002-09/totm/index.php

Apparently he does presentations on MH lighting and rotifer propagation

He should have been here in January...I just replaced all my light!

Sorry for the hijack Kannin

It's ok... It's the fastest way to a split...

As far as the neat wiring goes... the worst part about my other tank is the mess behind and under the tank.

You still got to come over and visit man! Got Nelson coming on Sunday to work on his cube, and maybe Colleen out as well this weekend.

You are right... I do need to come see you. Today though... I just got Barrier's fish list and they got a butt load of new fish in. 8 yellow tangs and 15 antias. I'm gonna head down there after work.

None... but, they did have 3 small yellow tangs which are now mine and then blue Sierra had 3 Banggai Cardinals which are also mine now.

3 yellows....where's a cop when you need one?

Yeah slow down dude. That system is not ready for that much bio-load yet. I would run a lot of well rinsed carbon and GFO for the next month and watch the ammonia and nitrate levels.
