My Bigger Piece of the Reef (LotsOPics)

I'm keeping an eye on the parameters. So far, it looks good.... The tangs are only a little bigger than a golfball. I really don't think they'll contribute much but, just in case... I'm keeping an eye on things.

Just jumped on this thred. Awesome aquscaping. Love the foam rock work. I am totally going to try that with my next upgrade. Can't wait to see more picks of this thing filled with life...

I've got to say as I read ( more like looking at the pics) I thought the back aquascape needed to slant mroe and teh two pillars were obxious but with sand and water I love it great aquascape. Your sump is also very neat and I credit you on that nice job I'll be tagging along.

I was very excited to see this guy eating nori. He is still very fat from the algae in the tank but, it's nice to know that he may adapt...

I have been following this from the beginning. I have to say that yours is the best example of the foam and rock ive seen here. I am making a small 20 gallon for my octopus using pretty much the same principal except I am just using it to hide a 4" PVC overflow I built, so im not using the grate. But I just wanted to say great work and I cant wait to see this a year down the road.

Hey man looks great where did you get the fish from.

I got the fish from 4 different lfs's in the Seattle area.

OK cool how is everything doing.

Everything is doing well... knock on wood. I'm a little nervous after adding these fish too fast but, so far my paramenters are great. The following have remained the same or are a little better over the last nine days.

pH - 8.2
temp - 79 - 80
ammonia - <0.25
nitrites - <.01
nitrates - <10
phosphates - <.01
dKh - 10.6
calcium - 460
SG - 1.024

I tested the parameters again last night and the ammonia, is less... nitrites are almost zero and so are nitrates. I'm gonna keep testing every other day since Jonathon has scared the crap out of me for overstocking too soon. I promise to slow down.

I just need to add a cleaner shrimp because one of my tangs is trying to get a blue green chromis to clean him. After that... I am going to focus on building the canopy and skirting.
