Are those pins in the rock frag plugs?
I'm going to attempt a foam wall on my little 26G.

As long as I don't kill it while drilling that is :-)

Glad to see others having a bash at the foam/rock :D

Just to put anyone's mind at rest who is worried about the long term effects or the initial period - i had NO problems with algae or blooms that lasted more than a few days. My tank is now almost ZERO maintenance after 6-7 months.....aside from cleaning the glass every other day i spend no time on it (literally!)

The rock/foam just looks like one big lump, you cant see the joins at all...all in a complete success!

The aquascaping has given a layout that would have been impossible in a normal 4ft tank.

Looks great tigsy, can you tell me where you got your foam and epoxy from please? What manufacturers did you use?
Did you have your own thread for it? Link me please.

Regards
Conor.

Wow Kannin, that turned out really nice! I was wondering what it would look like once the rock became grown over with algae and corals, nice job!

That's one of my favorite shots of all time. I think I'll go for that pillar look for mine.

Just thought I would share my foam aquascape. Click on the red house for details.

Looks great but no side effects of chemical leaching into the water to throw water quality off or even poison fish?

Here's my updated pics. A friend of mine, Snowboarda42 dismantled his tank and brought me a buttload of corals and a couple fish too.

Dude thats some kick *** rock work!!! been reading your tread this past couple days and youve convinced me into giving this a shot! my project starts this weekend!! any thing you would do differnt if you had to do it over??? Thanks a bunch for sharing this project and once again good job!!!!

Louie......

Thanks Louie... I would cook the rocks longer. I only cooked them for three days in a 10:1 solution. I would cook them for a week in 5:1 and then soak them in salt water with a skimmer for another week. It would have saved me a lot of time and frustration with my cyano fight.

Good luck.

I used a 32 gallon Brute with a 10:1 RODI/vinegar solution for 3 days. I also had two power heads in the bin. Had I done a more thurough job... I would have had less of a phosphate spike once in the display.
