How did this work out for you, did your hippo make it through treatment? Did you add any LR to your QT?
Thanks

*sorry, saw the last couple of post dates from a couple of months ago, didnt realize this was a dormant thread.
Fish have been in qt for a week, read that cp can act as a appetite suppressant. I add drops of garlic before feeding. No issues so far
Bumping this up. Started qt last week. Two spot tang, scribbled rabbit fish, yellow flank and lubbocks wrasses and a pair of yellow watchman gobbies. Dosed 40mg/l. Fish showed no signs of ich at lfs but I know the tanks they came from may have it.
40 mg / L or about 150 mg / gallon? I read the highest is about 96 mg / gallon and thats for uronema.
Isn't the half life about 10 days though?Day 14 no signs of ich. Tank glass getting yellow film on it

FWIW, I have a hippo tang in CP going on 2 weeks now. He is clear of crypt and looks fine; eating well too!
Is there a consensus on new life spectrum ich shield? Is it as effective as pharmaceutical grade chloroquine phosphate? Would like to avoid the trip to the vet if possible.
Just curious... anyone ever mix CP & NFG powder? For dealing with a secondary bacterial infection while already treating for velvet.
I have but it was only one time. It worked for me.
