My journey using Chloroquine Phosphate begins...

Lol it was a free fish that just took out my tank also. I'm on week three of my CP treatment and so far everything is doing just fine including several wrasses.

I'm assuming you've tried a fish trap?
 
Anyone have any thoughts as to why my white tail bristle tooth kicked the bucket? It just seems odd that after performing a great recovery and eating and swimming well he would just die in a matter of a couple of days and this in a tank dosed with CP. For some reason this fish loss is bothering the heack out of me.
 
I have tried the net and fish traps, neither work. Your bristle tooth is a tough one to figure out. Mine was apparent because of the ammonia but your seems to be much different. How is the hippo doing?

Hippo is the same, not better but not worse..he seems like all he wants to do is play dead like hippo's like to do when stressed. All other fish are fine, i just did a 20g water change and I added 1gram to the 20 gallons and I used my left over pharmacy tablets. As for catching our last fish, maybe we should start a poll on who will get it first :lolspin: The way we are going, it might be spring break before our fallow period is over.:worried:

I would stop feeding him completely, and anytime you are home have a fish bottle trap setup with some mysis in it. Eventually he's got to go in it - or starve to death.
 
I had to use egg crate and acrylic to section off my 240 to catch the last wrasse. Ended up scooping him up with a net full of sand.

What do you mean by acrylic? acrylic sheets? I've tried the eggcrate and he swims right through it

Nice going! I'm going to try today before I go to work, if not I will do whatever it takes tomorrow to get the wrasse out, including 100% water change. I'm sick of is little SOB!:uzi:

Good luck...last night had 2 people helping me with trying to corner him and taking rock out, etc..was just a mess! We failed last night...This morning i got up early and decided to try the lights on 100% trick after he's been sleeping all night...well that worked..fish was disoriented for a few minutes and he never even saw the net coming.
 
I got some new livestock in today. They include (Yellow Tang, Vlamingi Tang, Flame Angel, Gold Striped Maroon Clown, Bicolor Blenny, Watchmen Goby, 2 Lawnmower Blennys). All look great with no signs of infections. They were introduced into my QT and are doing well. I plan to start CP and Prazipro to prevent anything. How long should I treat before putting into my DT? Thanks!

Depending on when you start treatment, at least 44 days. Most say 30 days for CP and then I always do two treatments of PP

I just added the CP. I can do PP at the same time right? If so, I will wait and add that tomorrow. Make sure everything is going good with the CP first!
