My new score-two blue gigs.

Any update on the two blue Gigantea?

Pete will chime in next week.... But I'll bring you up to date until then...
Pete, all 4 are looking great!!!

Anemone's in this thread are now at my house in my care since Monday - 5 days ago. Pete got 2 more, and nursing 4 at one time was challenging, so I'm helping...

More details here.

All 3 of 4 anemone's in the thread were looking like "march of death" we all know well. I told him treatment asap is needed for all 4.
Yesterday with lights:

Pete's new 2 anemone's. I think he has had them a couple weeks now. Originally in display tank, both these also get cipro in qt since monday also:

Since Monday, 3 of 4 looked bad, open mouth with floppy pancake look. All 4 moved to (2) qt systems, treated with cipro 5 days. All look good now. Couple things to note. Below, I fed the guy on the left. Guy on right would not eat. Guy on left deflated for 24 hours, flat floppy, gaping mouth, looked like it was done. I thought it was a goner. Once it "ate" and pooped, it looked ok. DO NOT FEED WHILE IN QT ON MEDS. VERY BAD RESULTS. The one on the right never ate. Also, one on right has been cut. If you look at second picture below, look at center at 6 oclock position, by large tentacles. It has column color of blue/yellow, but at cut, a sky blue line, all the way from the disk to the foot attach point, a very clear heal of column, and the mouth is not connected at one end still. Mouth is very close to edge of disk. As time progresses, I will get better pictures, but I don't want to bother anemone at this time. It does not appear to be healing completely on the disk yet, or quickly, but does not deflate, and holds firm body language and almost always looks good. In Pete's pics on the first couple pages, it is the anemone that always has it's "teeth" showing. That's why, it's not healed yet.

Cut is to the right of large tentacles on bottom at 6 oclock. In person, very evident it has been cut.

On photo's 4 & 5 in the begining of this thread, the very first pictures Pete posted, the cut anemone shows the cut at the 12 oclock position, for reference.

I'm confused. I thought the "cut" gigs are coming from a single supplier in Southern CA. Can I ask where you got these from?

you guys been getting these by 1/2 a dozen..... can you let us know who the dealer is? :)

good luck guys, i hope all will make it.

ptr13 got them from the LFS. I'm not sure where they got them from.

Here's a picture of two of them from today.

Here's the cut one. Look on the left side of the column, the sky blue line. Disk and column are healed well. It ate aggressively last night.

Still a very long road to go.... I can say, without cipro, this trip would have already ended.

thanks for the input, will do just in case they wander anywhere, do not want a suprise visit tonight lol

ptr13,
You got to get a larger tank for them. They look like they are doing better but far from healthy. It would be sad if disaster struck, due to the small confined space, and both were kill. You name it, it can happen. Craw on to the heater, puree by the PH, stress induced spawn and thus degradation in water quality and..... .....

Yeah! watch that heater.

Get some egg crate or something to separate heater and PH from the nems:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks OrionN and stickleback, I will try to transfer it today to the main tank, I am trying to do maintenance to the 120 to make it full pledge nem tank.

We're on the same page here I think..... :-) Good luck take pictures!

Today. These two are doing quite well. No deflate. Both still very rough shape, but hanging on. I'm still waiting for the decline, but they both are starting to darken up...

I took them both out, to do a 100% water change, and the one on the left got air bubbles in the disk. (I tried hanging it upside down to change the rock it was on, but gave up) Looked like little silver mercury bubbles. Two days later, they are gone... ? Took 2 days for the bubbles to leave. Anyway, her you go.

I'm starting to think I need to get these guys out of the 10 gallon and into a different tank, really soon. Problem is they seem to like it in there.

updates on the other two taylor t, here are the pics you ask for. Dave and I transfered these two nems to a bigger tank and with good results

notice the J anchor on the foot, they both share the same rock, same bunch and they think the same so settled on same side, interesting stuff.
