Thanks all. It's hard to convey scale in a photo with my current camera at least. I had to stand back so far to get the whole thing in that shot, and you really don't get a sense of the front-back depth, either. You'll all just have to come see it in person.
It's slowly filling with RO. I have lots of odds and ends to finish, but I am hoping to have it wrapped up and ready for live rock, etc. this weekend.
That said, I'm looking for a few things locally in Syracuse, hoping someone can help me out:
1) A pair of T12 (aka VHO) endcaps for the temporary lighting until the LED rig is done
2) A scoop of sand and/or a few small pieces of live rock or some rubble to seed the man made rock. Not picky as long as it isn't ridden with pests.
3) A handful of chaeto
If anyone has this stuff around Syracuse and could meet up this weekend, lemme know!
Thanks for the offer Fritz. Half an hour too late though. I got fed up waiting and on my lunch break I installed the three lamps/endcaps/ballasts I had. I have a fourth lamp and ballast but no fourth set of endcaps, hence my request above. At this point I'll just leave it as-is, don't want to fiddle with it all over again since it'll only be up for a few months at most.
Would still like to hook up with someone who has some extra rock and/or chaeto though!
I was saying yesterday how sweeet it would be having a tank that size when I built a folding 4x6 "Skirting table" for my other to work on her fleeces (by the drywall taping that looks like your footprint). Your ambition sure makes me feel like the slacker!
