My newly named clown, Narcissus.

I'm not usually one for naming my fish, inverts or corals for that matter. However today a friend was watching my clown and proclaimed that its name should be Narcissus. Naturally, I was thrilled by the thought. I see so much of myself in this beautiful fish.

She may have been referring to the Greek hero, either way, it'll stick.

Anyways, this pic could be improved in about 1000 areas, but I felt like posting. Too bad my gorg's polyps weren't extended, that would have helped make the shot.

Thanks guys :)

I've neglected my camera in the past few weeks.

I'm still in need of a macro lens, (and a telephoto, IS walk around and host of other things...). I can't wait to get it. Debating between the canon 100mm 2.8 or perhaps the sigma 150mm for a little more reach.

Not to be left out, ignored or forgotten, another sneaky fish managed to muscle the clown out of the photoshoot.

Narcissus will let him have his moment...

Polyp's are out, I need to work on my focusing though.

Yeah he's in the 10. FWIW I have a sump that is about another 10G with LR and lots and lots of chaeto (pod home).

I see lots of little copepods around at night and a lot of amphipods. He's been in there since this January and is doing well.

He will eat some flying fish eggs, but doesn't always care much for them. I made the LFS people feed frozen in front of me before I purchased.

I have a friend with a large tank, or the LFS who will take him back if I think his weight is going down. Either way, i'll have a bigger tank running soon and he should have some more rock to graze in a couple of weeks.

:) No complaints! I wish he ate more frozen, I would feel better about all of this. I'm always watching for his stomach to concave, but it hasn't yet.
