ive been slacking big time on this. The plumbing is done, it just needs glue. Im playing with the rock design now. Not sure how i want to do it.

so close.

Still need 1/2" viny tubing, a 3/4" press fitting, loc line and a stand pipe.

Havent had much time lately!

salt is mixing with roughly 25 gallons. picking the rest of the water up tomorrow along with a few fittings i messed up while gluing. already dropped a few pieces of LR to get the cycle going, and dosed the tank. have 9 cups of salt so far. shooting for 1.024

aquascape not final, have roughly 16 lbs of rock in my biocube that will be going into this tank.

Love the look of the deep width and shallow height!

One question: Do you have any light bleed through the center of your doors from the fuge light?

no fuge, so i wont have that problem. but if i was using it as a fuge, yes the light would come through. that light is purely for working under there at night without disturbing the fish.

sump goes | Drain/LR | Skimmer | Return | no filter socks, or wool. straight drain to sump, natural filtration and skimmer, then back to the tank. only thing running off the main pump is a reactor with phosphate remover. I have been running a straight tank, with a circulation pump and live rock only, have had a clown in it for 2 months now, hes doing great and the tank is super stable. only 5 gallons too. im amazed, but the LR alone does enough to sustain a fish, and it cant be more then 4-5 lbs. with that knowledge, and a sweet skimmer, this tank should work flawlessly.

off to grab more water and finish the plumbing. im hoping to turn on the return pump thursday morning. after that its just a bunch of LR to go into the tank, get it up to temp and salinity, setup the ATO system and let it run for 2 weeks while it cycles. i will aquascape it more when its running fully.

i thought about it but i ran into the rear 2x6. im also running a 900gph pump on 75 gallons total volume, with 60 gallon display. if its slowed down a bit, im ok with that im looking for the 10x per hour mark through the sump. (if not a bit slower)

Looking good. I like the layout of you tank. Only suggestion I have is putting a bubble trap before the return pump, after the skimmer. Might save you with some micro bubbles. Other than that looks good man. Good luck.

over the weekend the tank got turned on, and has been running. i am having trouble bringing it up to temp, it is hovering around 70. im also only running a 100 watt heater, but even with all the heat from the pumps, no luck. I will have to up my heater output!

I build a gurgle buster to silence the drain, and man it works AWESOME! takes up VERY little space, unlike a herbie style steup, and it has a sweet failsafe so if it clogs it makes a loud sucking noise.

need to setup the ATO system, and play with a few settings.

my skimmer also isnt foaming up like it should. it was, when i had it in the displa, but now in the sump its bubbling like its in fresh water. tank is a 1.020 at 70*

New try at aquascaping.

Biocube has been taken down, fish are in holding tank/QT tank, got my lock line!
