You may one day regret these statements Mike as Life is very short and Fish tanks come and go! Wifes on the other hand are not hobbies to discard because of a mishap that could have happened even if you were there.

Amen Bill. As the one who was/is often refered to as a moron along with her children on a regular basis words hurt and have a larger impact on one than you may think. They build up over time to the point you question yourself worth as a person even though you know you are not all the things the ones you love call you. I hope if you have children you are not so easy to call them such hurtfull names over things that can be replaced. A tank can be replaced, a child/wifes spirit is not so easily mended.

From experience I suspect there is tension as it is in the marriage from your posts so I hope you see it in you to seek marriage counceling when you return from your deployment to understand why you and your wife have let the relationship get to the point where you neither care.....ie.. she went anyways and you call her names and don't care if she knows.
Or maybe you think that her staying home tied to "your" tank "just incase it acts up" was "more important" than her plans of going out of town.....Hmmmm I have a ex who thinks the same as you then. Maybe you all can get together and talk about how incompetent everyone but you are and if only the world could see things like you guys do the world problems would be solved.
If you knew the tank was having issues why in the world would you put that responcibility on a woman who obviously has no knowledge or interest in your "BABY" that was so important to you? Contact a local service company to come fix it for a small fee and parts or put a shout out to the club for help! As you stated you are deployed and I am sure folks would have come in droves to help her out if you would have just took the time to ask. In other words help her help you instead of lay all the blame and responcibility on her.

And to the posters who wrote "I hope your wife doesn't see this" Trust me from just what little he wrote I am sure he lets her know how disapointed he is in her on a regular basis himself without her stumbeling across that post.....OH YEA, she will not stumble across it because she didn't she have access to the club to ask for help I bet....Hmmm. Just sayin. Yea I may be on a soap box but he deserves someone to remind him what life is about and what is truely important. You can get mad when something happens but handle it better. Things spoken out of anger ussually are how you feel at heart anyways so I feel for your wife..

If she had of shocked and killed herself fooling with the electrical componets of his tank would he get on here and write:

"MAN, my wife just killed herself working on my tank but I am SOooo glad my fish are OK." Duuugh.

Not going to get into the whole moron thing but sorry this happened.

Your not the only one I came home to a wife disaster about 5 months ago it took me that long to rebuild . It gave me a excuse to build bigger and better than I have before . Needless to say my wife is smart and dumped about ten dollars in pennies In my tank = death. Any way I had a few fish make it and some coral . But I now have the tank I allways wanted . So I thank her for a bigger tank lol don't tell her I said that

Just curious how this happened. How did $10 in pennies get into the tank? Reminds me of the time I read about someone plumbing their tank with copper tubing. That didn't end well at all.

Well my wife is smart she knows pennies will kill fish coral and so on . Any wAy she got sick of me being on the computer looking up info about coral . It caused a big fight and I got mad left and went to a buddies house she told me if I left she would end my fish addiction . So she dumped a whole change jar in there . There was quarters dimes and nickels Yo mostly pennies though . But she did admit she does miss the tank cause of the life it brings to the house . And has asked me set it back up .I bet your wife feels horrible she diddent mean it like mine did and I bet she does miss it .
