Natural host for A.mccullochi

After a very long wait my LFS has managed to secure me a pair of mccullochi. Fautin and Allen state that BTA's are the only natural host but as there are a few errors in their book, does anyone know for definite if this isn't the case ? I like to keep clowns with a natural host but bubbletips just don't float my boat.

Since they are in the tomato clown complex and they live in an area of cooler water, BTAs would be the only natural option. However, since they are tomato clowns, they probably won't be too picky. H. crispa lives in that general area and are a natural host to
A. melanopus, so H. crispa would not be too much of a stretch.

I agree with Phil. I don't think it would be to big of a stretch to think that they would call H. crispa home also.

Nice u should post picture.but i seen them In a carpet, but bubbles are the best ine though.

They're small at the moment, circa 1" SL, so still have their juvenile stripes. My LFS got them in especially for me and to say he was underwhelmed would be a massive understatement. As they're so small he's keeping them for me for the next two weeks to help them get over shipping etc. Once I have them I'll post some pics. In between times I have to decide on an anemone, find them a nice healthy one and get it settled....... It may well come down to finding a nice healthy individual regardless of whether it's E.quadricolour or H. crispa
