Anyone know where I can get some red "OGO"?
New Sohal Tang is not eating "Nori", and Bob Fenner recommended this stuff (at IMAC).
Going to get some small Mysis shrimp/blood worms, since he is an omnivore, but he need's his veggies :D
Any help appreciated.

Thanks:
Rick

Reef Nutrition is preparing to sell it---it's not quite out yet. They do have mysis.

I got some from Reef Nutrition at the frag swap in a small bottle (with pods, etc.). Contact Randy at reefnutrition.com and ask. They sell live macros, so you can drop some in your sump and try to grow it yourself. I have a small sprig that hasn't really grown, but is still alive since January. I'm hoping it'll take off for me. I've been keeping the caulerpa to a minimum.

Red Gracilaria is pretty difficult to grow but not difficult to keep alive. I have kept it in a bucket with a growlight on it for a good long while but never had it really grow much. I have heard it takes a lot of flow to really grow well. I believe you can get it from Indo Pacific Sea Farms as well as that reef nutrition place.

Up here in Knoxville, one of the LFS has started to carry it from Reef Nutrition but it's a LOT more expensive than you get from say...the Doctors. For example I paid about 3x as much as I would have from the Drs to get it here in town but I didn't have to pay shipping. The Drs won't just put it in a priority mail box for you either, which kinda sucks. Overnight shipping for some algae just totally blows.

I can prune out some red type of algae from my nano for you rick. It's not gracilaria, but my purple tang ate it exclusively. I just flushed a bunch (of course), but it grows pretty quickly.

I had problems getting my Naso Tang to eat algae sheets at first. I had to order some brown algae sheets, he eats it like there was no tomorrow....He was starving of course...He wouldn't touch nothing at first, no brine shrimp, mysis, formula 2, etc etc. I've tried everything!!! Ever since he started eating the brown algae sheets, he would take other stuffs now as well. Give that a try, I had to order them through Fish Bowl. :)

Danieljames:
Assuming you are coming to this month's meeting, please bring some and I'll try it.

Thanks:
Rick

Got any pictures of it? Do you know what type of algae it is? I would like to have some as well if someone can hold some for me as I am not able to make it to the meeting. Unless your coming to the next month's meeting which would be held at my place. Let me know, thanks! :)
