Nem split....

My RBTA finally split a month after getting her. Feeding regimen is krill or silversides every 4-6 days. Once she found her spot in the tank she loved it and became very comfortable. After being on a 96 hour shift at work, I came home to check on the tank and what do you know... There were two! So excited! I will update with a pic tomorrow when I finally get off work.:spin1:

Congrats on the split!

What were the signs you saw when it began the process?

I'm really curious because I have three, one of which is rather big and looks like it wants to split. I've never personally had one split so this is fascinating!

To be honest with in the last week she finally found a spot she really liked. Feeding do not change one bit. Lately I noticed she was very plump/full..... Looking beautiful... And that's about it. No real difference besides just looking really healthy. Like I said I feed Krill and Silversides... Probably a 60/40 split.

Awesome! I have fed my anemones very little so I will begin feeding them more and see how they react.

Thanks again and congrats on the split!

Yeah, like I said it'd be every 4 at most and least maybe 6/7 days in between feeding. While I'm thawing out the krill I soak in selcon since I am usually soaking my mysis in the same. My nems know as soon as it hit the water. As if it had eyes and a mouth that started to salivate. Lol

Congrats on the split, but I would be cautious about feeding silversides,I lost 2 large rbtas from feeding silversides.I feed my anemones mysis now.

What is it about silversides that make it a cautious choice? I have heard nothing but good things. Any help would be much appreciated.

It's in the way they are packaged,They can spoil before they are frozened and shipped.I fed mine for about 2 years until I got a bad batch.
