NERAC II Feedback

I know it's only two plus hours in to this massive two-day extravaganza, and I'm two plus hours or so from getting there myself.... But, it's time for some feedback already :)

Someone (Keith? LOL) there, I'm sure has internet access at NERAC II (can you say Reef Central withdrawal symptoms??), and can post some early feedback?

What have I missed so far? How's the turn out? Is the raffle table bigger than last year? Is there still parking available?? LOL

See you soon!

Lonnie, Yes Joe Y looked at home.Bill still wearing his leather hat.For some reason thought Julian had a ponytail. Only kidding ! Todd Gardner gave a really cool lecture on seahourse propigation talked about tank design and proper feeding very cool lecture.Julian Sprungs lecture was on Old Tank Syndrome and picked up a lot of little pearls even though my old tank syndrome started occuring after 9 mos.Wish we had about two more hours to pick his brain, what a great guy. There were such distracting announcements happening all morning paging a Lonnie Goldman to his lecture on mushrooms.

Everything was much smoother this year. Not alot of corals for sale since fishome25 wasn't there however there still was a good selection. Vendors were present with nice setups. Incredible raffles.

I was there today... for a total of perhaps 120 seconds :( (billsreef can vouch for my presence)

I should be able to stay a bit longer tomorrow

I was ill and unable to make it :( I'm going to try to make it tomorrow, at least for a little while. Would love to hear more about how things went today.

uhmm yeah Lonnie I didn't see you all day !!!

it was def. a lot more smooth than last year :)

much more organized, and the raffles look great...

very exciting :)

Liana,

Since I was there literally only 120 seconds it didn't really give me a chance to see too many people... let's see, I saw Bill, as mentioned above, and I saw Russ... But, that was it. Perhaps a few people noticed me... Hopefully I'll get a chance to see everyone tomorrow... I want to get there early to get front row seats for Matthew and I to see Anthony :)

Long story.... well, two minute story ;)

But my step-son opted out of staying... and sadly, me and Matthew got out voted.

Seems like there were more coral vendors last year even though Tom wasn't there this year.
Raffle prizes also seemed better last year for some reason. Like they have an Aqua logic 1/5 hp when last year it was a 1/4 hp unit.
Tony didn't have the Reeflo pumps up for raffle like last year, yada, yada, yada.

That statement needs to be rephrased ;)

I'll definitely be there tomorrow.... with Matthew... between the three of us I'm sure we can create quite a ruckus ;)

Joe, Eric, Vinny and Vinny did a great job in organizing ( sorry if I missed anyone). I had a fun time Just hanging out selling raffle tickets. only got to see Calfo presentation on making $$$ propergating coral .. Nice presetation and a very Nice guy...

I love to see who buys that gorgeous $500 blood red carpet anemone... Clafo said it could be easily cut in two, you can keep one and sell the other. well maybe that would be easy for him.. :D

Wow, what a great event. If anyone has the opportunity to join us tomorrow it is worth the trip. You all know that Atlantis is a world class facility. The speakers were all excellent and very friendly and the raffles ar tomorrow. The dinner was a lot of fun and it is a great atmosphere to "talk corals".

WHat a great day!

Great speakers, great venue, great vendors, great food!

It was better than cats!

Spent my alloted $$ and got out of the house and out of Montauk for 12+ hours. Saw some old friends, made some new ones, and put lots of faces to rc screennames.

Really glad I went, thanks everyone.
