NERAC II Feedback

You too Warren.

I'm sorry also that the other riff-raff din't make it.

I'm thinking about whether or not to journey back, tomorrow seems like a great day to take the boy to riverhead, lol.

A great day.....spent most of the day listening to the speakers as I wanted to 'absorb' as much stuff as possible. Stilll had time to peruse the aquarium, fantasize about larger tanks, and check out the vendors......

offbeat question about one of the products available...the square reflector caps that use a bulb--luminek or something I think. Has anyone used them and do they like them. I know I am not giving much info, as one thing I did not do was discuss details with the vendor. But if you were ther--you would know what I was talking about.....has anyone used them and/or have any feedback on this item?

looking forward to tomorrow.........

Was there Saturday and I thought it was great ....didn't get meet alot of the club members but hung aroud with Bill for a while and bothered him LOL.. Thought Calfo gave a good lecture on Coral propegation and farming and Julian Sprung's lecture was also very interesting on old tank syndrome and biological activity in sand beds. Todd also held my interest for duration with his lecture on the spawning of seahorses..I would have liked to seen more vendors there but I guess just as well as I spent less money....

and actually i won the leather that he demonstrated trimming on and i have no freaking idea what to do with it...

anybody?

YAY, I got to spend more than two minutes at NERAC today!!!... and boy are my arms aching (for those that didn't see me, I'll let them ponder that statement for a while ;) )

i had fun...i was the kid at the raffle table for those who dont know me. believe or not the raffle table can get pretty hilarious! lol

nice seeing everybody again...

the lumernarc III's are suppose to be great reflectors with their design, awhile ago they were a hot topic on the lighting/filtration board. Also a DIY was done on it before being pulled due to copyright infringement. I picked up 2 of them to light the 180. They are not setup yet. Go to stealitback.com and bid on them under the commercial nursery supplies (search term grow light hood). They started going for $17, I got min for $30 plus shipping. Right now they are running at $60. It does pick & dip depending on how many listings they have.

Ewesome event! Hats off to all involved in setting this up! Everyone really pitched inand did there part. Warren and i became a proud owner of a RED Haddoni :)
