Tank Shot

Tank Shot

Here's some preliminary aquascaping shots. I'm getting ready to transfer livestock over from the 60G to fill the open gaps.

Hey Minh, congrats on the new tank, its about time.

You must have a great job! ;)

Better get that thing finished soon, busy season is coming.

Mikey..... good to see you're still in the game :). How's that 135G project going? Have you flooded the basement yet :D? Hopefully you were able to sneak some supplies by the wifey ;).

Yeah I'd better hurry up and get this thing going w/ the Annual Report/Proxy season at hand!!! I'll probably stare at it for about 5 mins a day on my way to bed for the next month or so!!!

It's actually up but I have to rearrange the LR from the old tank to fit. I also got a great deal on a blonde naso and chevron tang the other day and they're both active/eating!!! It helps that everyone else in the tank was brand new to the rockwork and no territories were established yet.

I'll post some pics when I get a chance everyone!!!

Yep, still in the game. kinda. I actually just sold my house and the buyer bought my whole set-up. Right now I have this giant tank with all the bells and whistles. The only problem with the system is its all in my mind because, as usual, I'm between tanks.

Yoga mats huh. You might be on to something there. The start of a whole new substrate debate. I like your asanas, I mean rockwok.

Updated Aquascaping

Updated Aquascaping

Here's some recent pics of the aquascaping redone w/ the LR from my 60 to fill in. Some of the SPS colonies are pretty much spread out/broken. I'm thinking about starting over with small frags to let them take hold and make a more natural appearance vs trying to stick them in the crevices.

I tried to make a lot of open spaces/caves and well as use the full width of the tank vs. trying to stack rocks against the wall. It think it turned out pretty good. It has two seperate islands as well as tons of caverns. Tell what cha think :).

Notice the stream rock on the left :D.

The right side is still in a holding pattern since I'm trying to give away the large frags/colonies. It'll clean up once people start to come by and pick some up!!! ;).

Enjoy,

Minh

Who are you giving the colonies away to?? Have any left?

No cycle... I used about 20-30 gallons of water from the old tank and a few cups of sand as well. I think this helped with the plug and play deal.

Hi minh,

Wow, I see a big improvements now on your new tank.

Do you still have frags left that you can share?

Perry

wow you moved all your Sps over to a tank that is only a couple weeks old lol.. Your brave. Why get rid of your large corals? Once they start to grow in they will look like they have always been there.
