New 55gl long setup

Your still alive? J/K... I recently installed my canopy and VHOs.... bright! Bad side of it is that you can not run 2 bulbs each which is gay but it was built like this for a reason. To prevent shorting out the ballast and with saltwater+electricity its not a good combination.

Look up the skimmer on Marine Depot and it should give you a measurement.

Yes eric im still alive lol i just finished moving and was in new orleans for a week at the national hurricane conference. I'm frustrated over the 4 bulbs on only problem if i cant rig it differently i might use a pc or t-8 actinic bulb to start and end with each day, havnt gotten to that quite yet. The clearence under my tank is about 25 inches, the CSS125 is 24.5 inches tall, so itll be a tight fit thats for sure. I would def have to drill a hole in the collection cup to drain the skimmate cuase there isnt enough room to remove the collection cup as is. I'm sure ill find a way to mod it so itll work, even if i have to add some tubing and mount it externally.

Where are the pics?
Ditto! I'm getting ready to start stand construction for a 75 gallon and would love to see a design fit for an SUV.

still havnt got the pics but heres a note about it, each of the four legs are comprised of 3 two by fours, there are four cross-braces also made of two by fours and all the sheet wood is 3/4 inch plywood, there is a floor on the bottom for the refugium/sump, we did a pale white foux stone finish with white trim. you could easily put a ford explorer on it and jump up and down lol.

On another note i went to big al's the other day to buy some sand, which they had on sale so i got 80lbs. 40 of it is "live reef sand" which is kinda dull in color, but probably cuase im just looking at it in normal light from what i could see and just as fine as the bahama oolite which is what i was gonna go for originally. The other 40lbs is a courser mix of sand and crushed argonite, the stuff says it helps maintain a ph of 8.2 which has constantly been a problem in my old tank. this mix ought to make for a fun setup, leaving sandy areas and rubble areas great for attaching frags. I wont buy any new live rock till I see how much space what i already have will take up, i have ALOT of live rock for a 30gl display... so i hope to keep the new tank less crowded.
