We are pleased to announce we have now received two of the much awaited GHl new accessories

GHL Dali interface

And the very much awaited dimmable power bar that enables you to raise and lower AC voltages increasing and decreasing motor speeds etc etc. But the biggest highlight of this is the ability to dim AC dimmable Ballasts that Lorin (kidney514) has agreed to test for us. If all testing goes well we will be able to announce a whole wattage range of T5HO dimmable ballasts, no more restricted to just 54w

I sent Lorin (kidney514) the kit for testing he should have it tomorrow.

Lorin will test it with various ballast wattages.

Will the dimmable powerbar allow speed control of return/closed loop pumps? That would be cool. Would it work specifically with Reeflo pumps (Darts, etc)? I must say I'm glad that I decided to go Profilux rather than wait for Neptune's new Apex or the Reefkeeper Elite ... You guys just try so darn hard to do things well ...

In regards to what else the powerbar will do, it all comes down to the third party equipment being attached, in theory the answer to you question is yes, BUT we can not test all products on the market with the powerbar.

I will be talking to GHL on Monday more about the capabilities and this should clarify some important questions.

Forgive my ignorance, but what would be the benefit of a DALI interface over your existing dimmable T5 setup? I'd only need 4ft units anyway and was wondering if one setup would be better than the other ...
