well after almost 18yrs in my 75gallon a bunch of lessons learned, alot of mistakes made i am ready for a fresh start.

-picked up a reefer 450 with white stand (many thanks Neoz!) got it all rinsed and cleaned up
-purchased reefbreeder photon v2 50" lights. have to say i was banging my head against the desk with this decision. ap700, radion g4 pro, or these. the differemce in $$ had to be noted. 600$ vs 1400. i have seen many good reviews and many nice sps dominant tanks running these. battle corals uses them. i pulled the trigger and squeezed them over my 75 for the time being

- purchased a kessil h380 for fuge from r2r should arrive today

- purchased 90#'s reefsaver from brs which is currently fishless cycling in a 55 gallon in basement

- ordered a custom crystal reef aquatics triton sump made specially for the reefer450
https://crystalreefaquatics.com/col...s/red-sea-replacement-sump-rsrs-450-reef-sump

skimmer, media reactor, return - jeboa 6500, heater will all be cleaned and moved over.

fish and cleaner will be moved to rock cycle 55 while i get new tank up and running.

right now its a waiting game for sump.

thinking of pulling trigger on 2 wav powerheads and DOS.

Becon, your going to do that up right with all that nice equipment! Can't wait to see it up and running for sure.

Looks great. I struggled not to buy that tank. I'm holding out for a 6 foot tank . Lightning decisions are the worst. Dumping thousands on a product with questionable longevity and customer service is painful. Those reef breeders seem like a good compromise.

thanks guys just dropped on 2 pk neptune wav, dos and icp kit and testers all for a free brs christmas bulb lol

yeah i am really liking the rb so far and even more since brs and the forum seem ti really be loving the orphek lights. same principal. nice spread out diffused still with shimmer.

thanks gary still might mess with scape a bit. for some reason my brain is trained for almost 2 decades to "make tunnels" "make habitat for the fish" "stack high in some parts for sps" but some of those rules are moot now with leds and also fish will find their places. i do like to set up the "garage" for the cleaner shrimp though.

thanks about the stack... still feel a bit unsure about it. thennagain that how i always feel with aquascaping.

ive had it in a rubbermaid since nov 15th. been adding ammonium chloride and some dr. tims. showing some nitrates/nitrite as well as nh4 reduction
