Should be cool!
mntl- nice looking tank!

After seenig that, jiff, definatly go with the rimless look! Since your making it, and not buying the tank, it will be easier that way anyway! :D

mikeal- I have a question about flow.

I always thought that 20x turnover was fairly high and nearly ideal...why isnt that good enough for sps? Im not an expert on sps, just a question. Not at all challenging your expertice, which i am sure supercedes mine! :D

alien, I'm hardly any type of expert, I just read alot, and have some experience. My comment about flow is based on the fact that these SPS corals we keep come from very turbulent waters due to waves crashing down all around them. I feel the only way we can get these corals to thrive is to replicate their natural environment the best that we can. I'm not saying to point any PH's or locline's directly at them, but I am a fan of the "more flow the better" for these types of corals. I especially felt the need to comment on it since aural is implementing a BB, so why not take full advantage of it?

This is exactly what I have in the works...Mntl, if you don't mind...would you tell me the glass bill for your tank if you built it yourself. IMHO, I don't think a DIY glass cube build is going to be a big deal/problem <50gal.

Great work Mntl!! IMHO, I think we'll be seeing many more of these systems in the future.

I'm in my usual 60 day funding, planning period right now.

Good luck Aural, I hope you have time to log this project on RC.

I just got an Aqua C remora too, and the break in period does not last a full 2 weeks. I got myne last week, and it has stopped making nois, and making micro bubbles.

I've put a few frogfishes in my 16 bow. It is a BB SPS with 2 Tunze 6000s. They didn't like the flow. Anglers like lower circulation (10-20X). There were also issues with metabolite levels (too high). I think the frogfish is best left out.

Dang! 2x6000 in a 16 bow? Wouldn't everything get blown out of the water?
Pics please?

well a lot of people have been telling me that my rio pump is a POS - and i'm not against buying a new pump for this tank, but does anyone have any suggestions?

There is a Mag-Drive 18 that is rated at 1800GPH - i figure it would be about 1600GPH after all the plumbing which would give a 40x turnover rate. too much? sufficiant? what do you guys think?
