New DD Spotbreast Angelfish Issue

I'm not the best at diagnosis when it comes to disease, and I don't want to get it wrong and over react. I just received a Spotbreast Angel from DD (which I've normally had good success with) and I'm a little disappointed. I know hole in the head is commonly an ailment related to Tangs/Angels, and I'm not sure if that's what I'm dealing with here.

Could I please get some opinions from those more versed in diagnoses than myself?

Agree with Dmorty217 , however this is not hth this looks like an injury from what I'm seeing under blue light I would observe and make sure bacterial infection don't get a hold. The eye looks clear and not swollen, you could dose seachem stressguard to the tank it has a anticeptic quality to it and acts like a brandade

It could be a shipping injury. If you have any acriflavine on hand, it could help with it healing. If you’re not too far from York, I have a whole bottle.

Definitely send the pic to DD so they will extend the warranty. Also looks like there is a spot on the dorsal fin.

Thank you everyone. I will snap some better pictures tomorrow when the lights come back on.

I've sent an email to DD with some photos of the injury and ragged fins so there is a record of it having arrived in this condition.

She's looking worse today I think. The wound on her head looks angry, and there are growths/spots on some of the fins.

The spots on the fins look like lymphocyst there viral there generally not fatal and there's no cure they are also very common and they are contagious. They usually hang around on the fish for 10+ days and they resemble califlower in texture. As for the eye it might be a good idea to at least add Kanaplex to a qt do not dose it into a DT
