I got a great deal on it. Was listed at 89.99 and I ended up paying $28.47. Seems the ballast was out on the lights over the anemone tank and they couldn't get a replacement right away so they gave me a huge discount to keep it from dying ;)

Wow and nice score on a great deal and looks healthy from here, just watch for tentacle deflation and be ready to treat just in case, they are known for that, but hopefully you get lucky

I have had H. Magnifica's before. I had a huge one for about 5 years, then I moved and had to sell it. I have Cipro on hand and a QT tank if needed. Right now the mouth is tight and it is super sticky. It is also under a Mars Aqua LED. I do have a 250w MH if it seems to need more light. Purple base and purple tips...It's going to be a beauty for sure. Percs are checking it out already. They refused to host a Bubble lol. They knew if they held out long enough I would cave, lol.

(I also had a carpet (gig) that was a tiny 3 inches when I got it and it is now over a foot. I sold it at the same time as the previous Mag. Both are still alive and thriving today in my friends tanks)

Looks good. One of my favorite color combinations: cream tentacles with the mauve base. Very nice.

Well that was FAST

Well that was FAST

Had a bubble in here for MONTHS, no go. 6 hours with the Mag and they are in. The Mag also ate a decent sized piece of Krill today. Quick to take it into its mouth and eat it. That is a good sign.

That's awesome and all looks great.
I was just having this discussion elsewhere on the difference in a clowns reaction towards a natural host vs a non natural, instinct prevails!

Update

Update

I just wanted to update and let everyone know the anemone is still alive and doing well. It quickly outgrew the 29g biocube but I knew I was setting up a 65g RR in the future. It is now in the 65g and the clowns are still loving it.
