and ya, idk i just think he has grown faster then any of the other fish ive had so far... not drasticly big, but i still can notice a difference already in him..

so some of you know, i recently bought that small S. Gig from LA..

dumbest thing ive ever done was not QT it... i know i should have, but i was too afraid of proper lighting, my QT tank has a really poor quality lighting.. and idk what i was really thinking and i find myself saying this alot, i should have listened to todd.. i've talked to him multiple times and the incident he went through with his haddoni by adding a new anemone and possible infection transfer ... i should have known better then to just throw it in my tank im really kicking myself in the teeth for this one..

im hopeing like Bonsai said in the other thread... it could be chemical induced Spawnings... (for the record the s. gig is out of the tank, and died the next morning) ... and im praying praying prayyying that its not an infection of some sort..

i've done 2 pretty decent sized water changes... and since i dont got a carbon reactor just yet.. i went and gone some of those carbon filter pads..with carbon in them just to kind of help.. (ill be building a DIY carbon reactor this weekend most likely)

Foot is attached to glass 100% still... mouth is not open at all.. although last night it was showing its siphonglyphs.. but mouth was still closed.
 
ya, idk what its doing.....its prolly only inflated for &-8 hrs out of the day then spends almost the whole. Night deflated, which it hasn't done ever till the giga
 
I was tempted to get a giga in the future too, but with a haddoni, its so risky... There are some members in the forum that have giga and haddonis in the same tank tho.
 
ya i dont think its chemical problems at all, i mostly think its just shipping stress and infection and the possibility of an infection be transfered...
 
Standard 75g by Aqueon... why?

he hasnt opened up yet, he usually inflates about an hour after the lights come on... and deflates 1-2 hrs before lights go off..

he's been on the same light cycle since i got him.. and has been fine with it...till the giga..
he never even deflated this much during acclimating..

So, he's still doing his cycle stuff..

inflates about 1 hour after lights come on...and inflates probably 1 - 1/2 hr before lights go off... foot still attached to glass.. i run a 9-10 hour light cycle... usually Noon - 9..somedays will be noon - 10

today though as he was inflating, his mouth was open for the first time... so its not looking good... im running carbon now and did a waterchange sunday..

about an hour after i noticed his mouth, the clownfish was swimming around him, and he kind of closed up a little bit, and he has yet to open up like he was...

here's pictures..doesnt look as bad as i make it sound, but you woulda just had to of been there to see it

as you can see its gotten drastically smaller too...

all i know is there is something making him unhappy, and i still strongly beleive it was an infection transfered from the S. Gig cause thats when all this started to happen.
 
when they release Zoo's its brown right?..

what is the thing, zig zaggy, stringy white stuff? ... you can kind of see it in this picture

Man... That sucks... Hopefully it will rebound for you... :( Keep doing those WCs and refreshing the carbon...
 
Well, i was considering doing an expirement at this point, after how many times i've read the Pedal Laceration Sticky..

of maybe attempting a recovery with baytril? ... ive already talked to a friend who works at a vet clinic and got the approval to use some..for what i wanna do with it..

but all i saw while reading that whole story was Toxic Toxic Toxic... but what he was using of course was more aggresive and illegal in the states i beleive too..
 
In my opinion it dosen't look that bad yet, but I only see what you post and don't know the duration of the cycle either...
 
the only thing that has me worried is today, the zig zag stringy stuff (i honestly dont know what else to call it) ... that was coming out of its mouth... and the mouth was open pretty big today.. and by the time i got around to taking a pic, the nem had kind of over lapped onto its self, so it didnt look that bad anymore

according to this graph idk how accurate it is its mesenterial filament?

But idk how accurate that graph is cause it looks like a condy/lta chart.. and mines S. Haddoni.. so idk if their anatomy is 100% identicle?
