nikonosis- try comparing apples to apples, not apples to oranges. size wise the RPS-3000 is comparable to a Deltec AP851 or the H&S A200-1260 which is more than $1100.
If you wanted to make a fair comparison to the AP(F)600 or the A150 2000/1 you should be looking at the RPS-2000 which I have seen selling for around $300.

I understand that the H&S/Deltec are a different class than the PCI or GEO skimmers. 95% of that is the pump. For those of us who arent willing to pay $300-$500 for a pump the PCI skimmers are a great option.
