Yes i shut off the air at its valve and fired it back up again.

Great video, thanks for posting! Have you tried raising the water level in the skimmer yet? Nick, I believe Luis (tagareef), and myself have found the sweet spot of the water level when the air valve is closed to be right at or just under the black neck flange.

Thats were i keep mine too. i would agree that is the sweet spot. But when i first shut off my air intake it siphons down to about the 12 inch barral then slowly goes back up to the normal level.
here is about were i keep mine if not about a i/2 inch higher.

Wow...I think I've finally made up my mind of my next skimmer . I was looking into more expensive skimmers such as a BK200ext, H&S A250, or Deltec AP702, but I'd rather use the extra 400-500 bucks on a calcium reactor. Jeremy, how long does the intro price last? Also, just to be sure again, it would be a squeeze in order to remove the collection cup with about 34" of clearance?

got any idea about the perfomance, if the nw dart skim bring down to 220v/50hz. the dart spec on 220v/50hz only 97w. also reduce the flow.

The body is made from all cell cast acrylic. There are absolutely no quality issues what so ever with this skimmer. This thing is built like a tank.

The pump is pretty darn quiet. There are a few guys running them in their living/family room with no problems.

The sale will run until we are out of our first batch. I honestly can't say if that will be two weeks from now, or 5-6 weeks from now, but we are starting to run low.

I would be lying if I said silent....but it is so quiet you can not hear it. A soft gentle hum is all i hear and then only if I turn off all my other equipment.

As for quality, it is superb. Not a mark, blemish, glue run or acrylic burr. Very nicely made.

Compared to the beckett mine replaced its very quiet! Mine did come in with a small blem on the risor but its not a aquarium so I did not care.

It is built like a tank.

Build quality seems very much to be on paar with other skimmers in this parice range & above.

The only thing is lack of instructions.... i think thats a big one.

This thing is SICK!

I moved it off my LR bin onto the main system ... it just wasn't making much foam at all on the LR bin ..

15 minutes into it . i had a dense foam head .. so i thought.
25 minutes into it .. the foam head was really dense ... yellow/browning/green & level with the top of edge of the collection cup.
40 minutes into it ... dense foamhead thats touching the lid of the collection cup.


i'll take a picture in a few minutes.
