So, i set up my new 180, and the day after, while looking for leaks, i noticed a strange half circle in the seam above the bottom trim, marked it doesnt seem to be spreading, sent pics to company, waiting to hear back, want some other opinions, look to me like a spacer, because when you shine a light from the side of the plain of glass, you can see the other half of the circle. upon looking at the other side there seems to be one like just below the trim as well, but more out of view. should tank be ok, could you eurobrace just that side where the the 2 plains meet, to reinforce, or replace, just sure im up to doing this breakdown again. :headwalls: inside seam fine

bummer, I might have a 120G tank/stand/canopy if you need to borrow them for a little bit. Let us know if you heard from the manufacture b/c I want to buy a 180 or 220 after I can sell the 120G.

It looks like a spacer they use to keep the silicone from squishing out when they put the tank together. Have you looked for more spacers in the other seams?

yes, the last picture is of the other front side, agree its most likely a spacer, but is it going to cause a failure.

Pretty certain my tank is the same way. I have a perfect circle on the bottom of all four corners on my 300dd just below the trim where you can see through the black caulk. I assumed it was on purpose, left it alone, and have had no issues.

So are you saying all four corners of my tank are going to fall off?

I think it'll be fine but if you are still concerned I'd call FAOIS or where ever you bought it from to confirm before you jump to conclusions. They can always check back with the manufacturer. Best of luck.

That's certainly ugly. It's a spacer and is fine but could they not use a black one since its black silicone

Here's a pic of what mine looks like. It's a hard to get a good snapshot because it's below the trim but same thing.
