No hunting thread yet?

Cully and the rest of the gang, have you made it out yet?

Fresh backstraps for my camping trip to the Adirondacks this weekend!

Sat last night. 1/2 mile in. Doe at last light, but 65 degrees, half mile drag? No thanks. Good start though.

Gratz on the strapz.

I have never really Ben a big fan of bow hunting. There's so many of them out here and all they do is road hunt. It's so bad that the state has started planting trees along the roads so you can't see. But any ways. My buck season doesn't open until Saturday. I haven't shot a buck in almost 8 years. I am realy hoping this is my year.

Yeah... I was sweating my butt off because it was so humid. I had to drag her a whole 10 feet around a small patch of poison ivy! Drove the 4 wheeler right up to her, loaded her into the trailer, and drove back to the house to process. Now I can relax for the next few weeks before regular season opens. I can't wait to take my new .308 out.

I almost had a chance at my first coyote (ever) in the morning, but it winded me before it made it's way out from behind my stand.

You live in Oregon, you should be going after Roosevelts!

Shooting from the road doesn't happen that much here because of the lack of public land. There is some public land, but there are so many people that finding an animal out in the open is impossible.

Hey guys ,

I haven't got out yet and probably won't till around Halloween week. Congrats on the harvests everyone, good luck

Nursing school is kicking my butt. Haven't been out for salmon. Ran the dog once, bone dry and hot. My son did great on the youth waterfowl hunt. I dunno if i'll hunt big game this year. Probably sneak out once or twice. Being locked up with the fall weather is driving me nuts.

You're not missing much James. I'd be better off not going. Seeing deer, but no shot opportunities. Had one at 5 yards on Tuesday and couldn't see anything through my sight and peep. I was going to drop my bow on it's head. Maybe I better start bringing a bowlin ball up there with me.

Seen four so far. Had a small buck scare off a couple does I was watching. Caught a big boy on my camera. He's number one on the hitlist. Unfortunately some minor foot surgery has probably shelved me for a couple days

Great day

Congrats.
I was out sun up to sundown yesterday. Got winded by the biggest buck I've ever seen at 40 yards at 3:30 in the afternoon. Easily in the 140s, 10 possibly 11 points. I'm not sure I'll ever get over it.

He's not the biggest buck on our property. Gives me another reason to go out for rifle opener. He came in about 20 minutes after I got in stand. Followed trail of a doe that came through 5 minutes after I got in. Grunting nonstop. I wasn't stopping to count points.

Chris, I'll do it. I've done several of my own. I really enjoy doing it. Think about it. Otherwise there was a guy out in Auburn that does beetles for about $65-70 I think. He was on craigslist.

Yeah no prob. I can bang em out in 3-4 days. Bleaching part takes longest. 2-3 days. Don't bother skinning or anything. Just plop in a bag and keep cool. I'm off this week to hunt but I can work on it. You have my cell?

If you find someone else let me know. That'll look killer as a euro. Congrats again.

Nice deer! I haven't been out much the past couple of weeks. I do plan on getting out this weekend though. The forecast for Saturday looks good right now.
