Not sure how long it will take Redox to respond....

I'm 99% sure that he had that vat fabricated by a local boat builder. I know that most of his vats were all done that way.

Im in va and can hold some corals for you if needed the only cost would be some frags off of them with the current growth sorry to hear about the big D green house is sweet.

I'm taking a break from the hobby and I just sold all my goodies. To all you people that think propagation is the way to go, I say keep the flame alive. I will set something else up in the future but right now I need a vacation and I just sold the whole shootin match to fellow believer;) Good luck and thakyou to all of you that have followed my thread :D

I for one will be counting the days until you get back into it. As for now I am sure the lucky guy getting your equipment (;);)) will be more than happy to put it all to use.

Did you get some 'new" goodies brian? :D

Not quite yet, but they are coming :D.

Faz,
If you do a search for Reef Farm and you can find a good bit of info on my build.

Unfortunatly, ReefCentral isn't very friendly to farmers for profit.....to say the least. Hopefully Raaden can post a thread and share ideas without being extorted for a commercial account.

Ever wonder why EVERYONE stops posting when they get to a certain level?

reread the rules..

you can post.. just not intank shots is bascialy what it says

but then again once they know you cant sell stuff any more

altho its funny i know two ppl around here

one has two 30 gallon frag tanks and over charges and has dedicated systems and all..
he is still allowed to sell

then the other guy.. who iv been to his house
has a pathetic lil tank thrown on the shelf in his closet tied to his reef tank and literaly all the frags are clippings from overgrowth in the display.. he sold them DIRT cheep and was deemed commercial .... seem fair?

may be more to it then that but yeah. rc does tend to scare away alot of know how

oh and then there are the ppl who dont want to share ( see ora and all the big timers who wont even let buyers see the insides of the place)

I don't think anyone on this forum is trying to sell corals to members. That would be a rather large effort for little to no return.

Medium to Large farmers are typically wholesale anyway. They let the LFS worry about bagging corals and dealing with customers who kill corals.

I think what some people don't get is that there are no trade secrets to this. We all try to mimic the ocean (ideal environment), so the bar is already set. You will not do any better than that.

Sharing information is just a way for us to rate reefkeeping techniques and equipment. Sharing information is the honest, non-commercial side of reefkeeping.

Don't get me wrong. I'll listen to anyone's idea. I think a guy with a 5 gallon bucket (not picking on your dude) for a prop tank is interesting, and I will walk away with some knowlege when reading that thread. But I also want to see the thread by the wholeseller with the 3000sq foot greenhouse. That guy has A LOT of information that I will find interesting.

Discouraging that wholeseller from sharing information because he sells corals for a living is NUTS. And if you disagree with that, you can stop reading this message, and go back to burning books, blast fishing, or whatever you do for fun.

Remember, wholesellers who tank raise corals are the future of this hobby, and all those fancy RC sponcers who sell live caught corals will be out of business soon.
