That probably means if everyone is eating.

Yeh probablly but they might make a mention of that if that is the case, we could fight this but I see no reason to. Either wayonce PRT is moved it wont matter.

Contacted the Civic center this is the info I got.

$130 for all day use.
Seats pre-arranged in rows, not a lot of individual selling room but perfect for demos and lectures.

Next free date as of today is May 27th.

Also waiting to hear back on two other venues, will post ASAP.</b>

Thank you Ron, your'e doing a good job looking for the club, and the Civic Center is probably a more central location and better for people to find, as opposed to where it was before.

Ron, I may be able to help with the Civic Center! I know some on the Board at the Civic Center... just not sure if he would be able to get us some help.... I helped him set up a tank at his office a few years ago... I will check with him on Monday and get back ASAP if I am able to get some deal.. I will not make any commitment just see what I might be able to come up with for the club...

Bruce

Thanks Bruce, if anyone wants to help gather info feel free to do so, just post your findings here or contact a council member. Remember don't commit to anything like Bruce said just get information on price, and layout, etc.

Thanks,
Ron

No luck with the Civic Center. Has anyone tired The SUMMIT? Have been there but not sure about anything? Bruce

Our Church is huge and is set up for meetings, the only problem is that it is far out of the way for people. Most people were concerned about the Californian being out of the way, I live in Tornado, which is about 6 miles further into the boonies, lol. But, it is a wonderful place for meetings, it has a huge room for that and many, many tables (like the schools have) to set up, along with a stage and a sound system. We could also use the kitchen for drinks/snacks/sandwitches...It would also be free. Just a thought, maybe this will help generate thoughts of others.

Hey Ron,
Just a thought, I don't know the particulars on the place. But, the Army Guard Armory gym has a concrete floor and lots of space just thought it might be a viable option for the meetings in the future. Anyway just a thought. I'll talk to you about it tomarrow at the shop. Are you going to be there all day? if not give me a call. Also, I pm'd you some info on my new user name.

What is the latest on the next meeting?

I may be able to get a church gym in Chesapeake WV.
It has a concrete floor, full kitchen, A/C.

It is easy to find. Just get off at the Marmet exit, turn right on rt. 61 and go for about 3 minutes. It is just on the left off of the road.

We could likely get it for under a hundred dollars to pay the clean up crew.

I believe the president is out of town at the moment
I am sure we will hear something as soon as he returns

Meeting options as of today:
</b>

Church near Scary Creek
Putnam Library
Natl Guard Armory
Civic Center conference room

The church will require us to have the meeting on a Saturday
The library is a bit small from what I have heard
The Armory is Huge I know little about it other than that
Civic Center the highest price option can only have about 4 tables set up for frag sales though.

Any more options anyone?
If not Friday we will choose one of these.

Somebody might want to check with Bream Memorial Church on the West side. I know they have a large rec room and gym that they used to rent out to the Kanawha Valley railroad club before they got their own building.

Church...

Church...

Most churches will necessarily require the meeting to be held on a Saturday.

Saturdays are always great with me, and preferable to Sundays, but someone previously mentioned that this caused problems for others.

Also have an offer from Cookes Funeral home, sound system in place and air conditioning. One room for the educational part and one for the frag sales.
