opinions on mixing anemones

Hi. My tank has been established for almost a year now. I have a mixed tank and 1 large BTA inside.

My question is what are the chances of successfully adding a haddon's carpet anenome??

I recently saw a beautiful red haddon carpet at the LFS. Been there for over a week now, attached and healthy looking. I really want to give it a try.

I have a 100gal tank. The rbta is in the perfect center of the tank. Theres a corner with only rocks and no corals. I was hoping of putting the carpet there and pray it doesnt move much?

What do you guys think? Worth the risk of them meeting and fighting? How bad can the "chemical" warfare be?

thank you! I did some more searching and got a lot of mixed reviews... oh boy. fingers crossed

I have Magnifica(1), Haddon(3)i and Gigantea(3) together for more than a year, no problem, all growing. On of my three Haddoni is not doing well, just there but the other two really doing well the same as the Magnifica and three Gigatnea. I don't think the Haddoni not doing well is due to the other 6 anemones.
I do run GFO and Activated Carbon all the time, change every month or so.

I have 3 BTA's and a fairly large Haddoni in my 100 Gal bowfront with no problems at all. The photo below is a few months old, both the BTA's and Haddoni have grown and can now touch each other. What I have seen is that they may touch then pull back.

thanks guys..

is there anyway I can build a rockscape to "trap" the carpet into a corner of the tank? for example a rock wall, leaving the carpet on the corner side of the tank.

basically asking if I can minimize its movements.

You can add a rock wall of sorts, but if it's really unhappy, it's going to move and may find a way around the wall (they inevitably move to a location that they like). However, haddoni tend to stay put when they find a location that they're happy with and water parameters stay consistent.

In terms of allelopathy between anemones, if you run a lot of carbon and change it regularly, you shouldn't have any issues.
