I've unsuccessfully kept two pearlberry now. One was encrusted on a ORA plug, and the other came as a frag from a well established colony.

Within a few weeks, they STN'd to nothing. All my other SPS are awesome, tank params as good as 5 varying new test kits could test.

Anyone else notice any strange STN?

I had one for over a year then I moved this past Aug. And it STN'd over a few weeks. I tried again about a month ago and the new one STN'd as well in about 2 weeks.

I'll probably be waiting some time before trying again.

Where is the best place to put my pearlberry in my tank and it is 32" deep 180 gallon . I have 3- 250w M/H and 2-72" VHO 03.
I just got my 2nd ORA after my first died in less that 1 week in my tank. I do not want to kill this ORA pearlberry again.
Thank you,
Daniel

Here is mine placed 10cm from watersurface under a mix of ATI Blueplus, Blue special and KZ fiji purple in a ATI Sunpower T5-lamp.

Like most have said, good flow and lotsa light. I have mine under a 50K spot and a few hours a day of 15K

Grows well for me now that it's established, I was able to give away my first frag of this today and have another growing out.

Wow, there are some beautiful pearlberry's in this thread. I picked one up at the LFS just today ... I guess I gotta post it. It ain't a perfect pic, but it's the best my $100 camera can do. What can I say - my money all goes into corals, not cameras! :D

It was under 400W 20K SE at the store; it will be under T5's now.

I just snapped this photo today, I have to agree with Chessmanmark, this one keeps growing on me more and more, I moved it a bit lower, starting to show more green in the polyps.
