OT: any gamers out there??

For those who are PS3 fans, why do you prefer it over the 360? Are there certain games exclusive to the PS3 that make it worth purchasing over the 360? From what I've seen, it looks like 90% of the best games are on both consoles.

I think Xbox has much better infrastructure via X-Box live. Granted you pay for it, but for $8/mo, I can't complain. Granted, Sony's is free, but after all you get what you pay for. My son is always complaining about PS3 server crashes.

Since you can download movies in HD through Xbox, I am not entirely convinced I will ever need a Blueray player.

I don't have a PS3 so I can't really comment on it. I do have an xbox360 and what I like best about it is when you find a game you really love and finish it, you can go on xbox live and for @ $10 you can add additional content and keep playing the game.... really sweet in my opinion.

The PS3 is for all practicality a media center. Does everything your cpu does, can even install Linux on it. Hard drives are the same as laptop cpu's. The games are amazing also. HD movies, bwah, stagevu dot com. Download them right to your PS3. Maybe I should get a job with them...lol

i have a modded xbox with a bigger hard drive and clear case that was gonna throw on craigslist here soon. also have a modded ps2 would be willing to part with let me know. actually come to think of it don't know if i ever had a console i didn't modify. i like the 360 imo a little better than the ps3 though it can play most old xbox games not all of them though. the ps3 was cool atleast the first models were because they were backwards compatible the new ones are not. i think they should get rid of the blue ray in the ps3 so it can be more affordable system

I/my kids have all 3 x-box, Wii and PS3 and I prefer the PS3 by far. I like the wireless controllers that just plug into the consol to recharge and you can use it while it charges. One big plus for the X-Box, at least for me, is that it will also act as a media center extender. My main computer stores all of my movies, music, pics etc. and with the media center extender, you can access your pc from the TV and use your files.

there are 3 "generations" of PS3. the original had the full PS2 hardware emotion engine built into it and could play all P2 games. 2nd gen has a software emulator which can play many games. And the current Gen has neither and can play none of the PS2. this will give you the full scoop on whats what, and if you want to play PS2 games you want to find a used original 60gb version IMO.

Here is some xbox version info http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_360 With the xbox you want to get the newest "Jasper" version. Which shrunk the CPU and GPU both to the 65nm build process helping with heat the "Red Ring of Death" problems.

the facts about the costs of xbox live is that it costs 50$ for a whole year which is a very good deal granted its ten dollars a month but only if u buy one month.
