OT: Mountain Bike VS. Cactus

So I went out for a nice mountain bike ride this morning and ended up crashing into a cactus, honestly might be the worst pain I have ever had in my life. Had to walk about two miles home.

Lesson learned dont fight a cactus you will not win.

Ya its a cholla and I was riding out of my house back in the McDowell mountain preserve. It took three people an hour and a half with tweezers to pull all the spikes out. Not a good day.

If you have to get creative with spelling or symbols in place of letters to get your word by our profanity filters, take the hint, it's not welcome here.

Duct tape and elmers glue work really well at getting out the small ones. Hurts a lot when applying but the you can peel them up. Cholla are nasty because of the hooked barb at the end. Also a fine toothed comb can very useful. lay it flat against your skin and comb teeth first until you have a bunch between the teeth then you can pull them up and out. The comb method is used with horses.

ooouch! Even if you pull them out they still leave some sort of wax in your body, you better see a doc to get some antibiotics thats a lot of cholla!

Ya I actually feel fine I went to work yesterday and I am about to leave to go to work again for the day. Thanks for all the advice everyone I figured everyone could get a good laugh at my mis fortune.
