OT: Rain? In July???

I have to rant about this somewhere...

I woke up this morning to rain pouring into our den (my "cave") via the hole that was once the stovepipe for the woodstove. Had to scramble half asleep onto the roof and figure out (in the rain) how to divert runoff and cover the hole. Then back to the cave to start drying everything. Oh and my wife's out-of-town: No backup with the kids, dogs, etc.

I put this project off to the last two weeks of July specifically to avoid rain, based on the historic daily rainfall totals. I mean cooome ooooonnnnnn!

I have went through that before as well. I drive a Jeep and I love driving to work with a wet seat. It feels oh so nice.
