OT: Restaurants

Ok, its not a true resturant, but my wife and I stopped by this little cupcake store next to fish planet and it was the best little treat I have had in a long time. I had the carrat cake. It is not ricks deset diner or freeport bakery, but it was yummy. :)
A frag and a cupcake, not a bad day.

One of the major magazines rated Sacramento as the most "diverse" city in the country. I think the food choices confirm that.

Cupcakes? YOU two are scareing me:)

I know. I really did not think anyone else would admit to it. I got a carrot cake cupcake. I took it home and put it in the micowave for ten seconds. I was thinking of going back today.

Mikuni for California/American style sushi. Hands down the BEST and freshest sushi in town.

Nation wide freezer meats downtown on H for the best cheese burger in town (no joke, but its a little pricey because they use all Harris Ranch beef)

Squeeze Inn gets the #2 on burgers (power Inn).

Bud's Buffet on 10th for the best roastbeef/pastrami in town (trust me, I eat here 2 times a week and there is always a line out the door)

Chicago Fire in Folsom or Downtown for deep dish pizza (destroys Zelda's all day).

Paezano's (sp?) is good for Italian.

I could name a bunch more because I am always on the quest for the best foods in Sac, but keep in mind most of the places I named do not have the same ambience as Bandera, Ruth's or Morton's, however the food is killer.

Oh yeah ettore's(sp?) is a great place to check out!-) he is one of the better pastry chef's in town!-) they also have a full menu!-)

!-)

If you like Sam's, you HAVE to try Bud's. I am a native here in Sac, and have also been eating at Sam's for as long as I can remember. Its great. But Bud's takes the Hof Brau to a whole new level :D

I agree about that salad its mine and my wifes favorite.

The Yukatan Chicken salad! It is huge for $8 also.

I do love Mikuni also love Ninja Sushi there is one in Lincoln and Auburn

never heard of this Nation wide freezer meats

Jim you ever try California Burgers on riverside and auburn Blvd?

Pasta- i Like Granitos

Mark, If you like Carrot cake mine and my wifes favorite is at Ricks dessert diner, Good stuff. But you might just like the cupcakes:)

I don't understand people who have just "salad" for dinner. That is until I tried the Ying Yang salad at Dos Coyote's. YUMMY!!!

Great post guys! Now I have to see if any of these restaurants have coupon in the Entertainment Book. :D

Minh,
It's only a "salad" until you eat half of it then roll it up into a burrito!-) you know how big I am and this "salad is enough for 2!-) the ying yang is great too!-)

I like the oregon blue or the chop chop salad at 33rd st Bistro. Hmmm, I might have to stop on the way home from the office.

I'll throw the oriental buffet into the mix too, not sure how anything other than the crab legs taste I usually just fill up on those.;) hot butter and crab, yummy!-) You should see how fast I can shuck some crab, I have it down to a science, I crack'em for our whole table!-)
!-)
