howard, I assumed we meant smoking/slow cooking when we spoke of BBQ

Im good at ribs and whole chicken

I do know some folks that makes some wonderful ribs on a regular grill.... I actually am contemplating a smoker. The one my sis-in-law made that nice pork butt in was just the "cheap" one on sale at Lowes.

It worked great!

You don't need a 20k smoker on wheels, you can do it on almost anything. I use a hibachi and green apple limbs to smoke salmon. :D

I'm with Jack on this one

my "smoker" is my weber performer

it is awesome for smoking

it is large enough to have the coals on the side and my drip pan in the middle

it has it limitations though...I am limited to 8# of ribs, OR 2 whole chickens OR about 25 pieces of chicken (breasts, thighs, legs, etc)

howard, I'd be interested in trying your BBQ sauce, I am a huge fan of BBQ sauce and normally I dont like home made sauce because it tastes too much like ketchup, so I'd like to try yours sometime
