I used to turn up my nose at Spam until my husband fried some up and covered it with country gravy....HHHMMM, I'm beginning to see a theme to my posts...anything (almost) is edible with country gravy on it...That being said...a list of things I won't eat, even if it were swimming in country gravy.
Snail
Brains
Liver
Kidneys
Tripe
Gives me the heebie-jeebies just thinking about it!!
Phil...you eat Vienna sausages but not Spam...you crack me up:lol:
You really need to try snails, they taste very good. Not being sarcastic either.
Liver does taste terrible though, and that's all I've tried on your list.
I love trying exotic foods, here is my list:
Goat (tastes very similar to lamb)
Raw fish (sushi, not uncommon for people to try or like this but it's on the list anyway, I love raw salmon sushi with a dash of wasabi...)
Snails (tastes very good, i had an Asian variant though, not french)
Chicken liver and pork liver (my mom would sneak it in my food when i was like 5 years old, it never worked out because it has a VERY distinct and bad taste)
Head Cheese (didnt like it, ate it at a German Restaurant)
Chicken intestine (tasted like a mix of chicken liver and chicken meat...)
Shark fin soup (i feel bad for eating this, it was a long time ago, well a long time ago in a 16 year old's eyes, anyway, besides the fact that supporting shark fin hunting is a terrible thing to do it actually tastes good...)
Rabbit meat (dont remember the taste, just remember i ate it)
Wish i could expand the list, my history teacher reportedly tried dried camel dung when he visited the middle east.... I probably wont go that far....
Oh yes, hot dogs, ketchup and cheese only, maybe relish
