Tank is obviously a lot brighter now than with the 40w T8!

They might be marketed differently in the states, I'm not sure, but here there almost the same thing, the main difference being that the Spectra's have remote ballasts and slightly larger reflectors to house E40 bulbs. The basic design and finish is the same, though the Spectra cost considerably more shekels..........

ah thanks for the info, the bigger reflectors is what i was gettting at, i think the ballasts being internal is quite a nice feature. invincible is the only one with spectra here in the states.

The Infiniti has DE MH up to 250w and the Spectra has SE MH up to 400w. Also the reflectors on the Spectra are a new design. All I know is Giesemann makes some reaaly nice fixtures.

Time for an update and a load of pics. To start with added a couple of Vortech's - had more than a few issues with these but have now learnt to live with them. Added a shoal of 11 anthias (squammi's) and a Midas.
