The foam in the can says it's black but I would call it a grayish silver color actually. As for purple- It definately doesn't come out purple till it's been in the water a while and encrusts with coraline. We used new sand but it wasn't live sand. We also used new live rock (about 200lbs) and some existing rock from the tank we took down (about 80lbs). We had to wait the usual month- 2 months before adding fish and coral and waiting for the tank to become completely cycled. We didn't use anything to make the cycle faster. I wouldn't chance putting fish and coral in a system with new sand and rock- it will cycle and you will kill things if you ask me. My filtration is a Barr aquatic sk5220 dual beckett skimmer.

I haven't thought about moving the clown eggs into the frag tank or the fuge. From what I've heard that wouldn't really work very well and they need specific requirements to actually survive. It would be easy to move the rock though so maybe someday I'll give it a try. As for the Frag tank- we have a lot in it now and we frag stuff all the time. I can try to get a good picture of it but we don't clean the glass very often. It's usually completely encrusted with coraline and we only scrap when we need to see something that we couldn't see from overhead. No update on the T5's yet. I really need to get on that as well but we've had a lot of other things going on and I just haven't found the time to do the T5's yet.....hopefully soon!
