Hi guys,

I probably know the answer, but I prefer to ask you before made my decision.

My hepatus is eating one kind of my zoanthids. Is there a way to make it stop (maybe offering some kind of special food) or I will need to take hepatus (or zoanthids) off from my reef?

Thanks in advance,

Sorry for what I am about to say but no !!That tang is worst than most large angel from my experience. They will be super aggressive when fully grown and eat everything too including SPS.

Good luck

Or try feeding the tang more, like nori and just feeding more in general.... Tangs like sea weed type foods not coral. This isn't the first tang I have heard of eating coral, but it goes back to not being fed enough

Fish that eat algae, when inadequately fed, will eat corals for the zooxanthellae, which is a symbiotic algae.

This, I would try to keep sheets of algae readily available for a couple of days to see if that helps

hi guys, thanks a lot for all answers.

I don't know if the problem is food. he is fat and eat 2 times per day.

I was giving julian's sprung's sea veggies one time per week. I'll try to give everyday, but not sure if will it works.

Anyone already had this problem and "fixed it" giving him sea veggies or changing his feed?

thank you very much, guys.

My hippo doesn't eat inverts, though it creates havoc in other ways, but I feed a sheet of nori daily. I also have started using those new era grazing rings that my Tangs go nuts for.
