Perculas spawning

Just wanted to be a proud fish mama and say that my pair of percula clowns have spawned :D They're so cute gaurding their eggs.......... I know the fry will get eaten up by the other fish when they hatch as long as they're in a community tank, but still sorta neat. On a freshwater note, my blue rams have also started spawning....... love is in the water I guess

Wow that is great. Why dont you try to save them? Get another tank & set it up. You would have to hurry & get some greenwater & rotifers. I think you have about a week. Congrats again

I'll try my hand at it one day, but with the wedding 3 weeks away, and then a honeymoon, I just won't be around to care for young fry. I know it's fairly common for clowns to spawn, but these are MY clowns, so it makes me a little proud.... my little fishies are all grown up! :love2:

how can you tell they are spawning? Cos my clowns just made a new bed right under a rock and now they sleep there instead of the corner of the thank.

Acidlittle- You can see the eggs, they'll be attached to one of "their" spots; hard to miss as they're bright orange. The pair hover over them and fan them to make sure they are well oxygenated, its fun to watch.
