haha they're in a ood spot to be forgotten about and left to their own devices so I guess they're happy not getting much attention lol good to hear that they're going nuts though, monti's tend to do that don't they hahaLOL Dom, I guess I kind of forget about them, but I can tell you that the Seasons Greetings is now encrusted on to the eggcrate stand I have it sitting on, I will get some pics up soon, I guess fragging will be as simple as breaking the piece of eggcrate, lol... I moved the jedi mind trick higher up, on a shelf in the back of the tank for more light. The purple and red montis are not getting much light, but thriving, the color is pretty close too
Nice.![]()
That acid trip is bloody fantastic! I love itlol awesome pics
Yes, I have a close eye on that piece mate!

Thanks Mark, the frags will hopefully encrust in the coming weeks, and with a bit of luck, perhaps color slightly darker in tissue. On a side note, I dropped my t5's down another 2" off the water line(4" off water now), so hopefully I will get a bit more par.
Hi Perry,
I'm going the other direction, raising lights up to reduce PAR. I'm 12 inches off glass lids now, and my PAR (I own a meter) is 375 at the base of my highest acro, 320 mid way, 240 at the sandbed.
I'm not so sure higher PAR is a good thing.![]()
Great Additions Perry, the acid trip kinda looks like my AoA event horizon mille.
The new frags all look cool Perry, be great to watch them progress over the next 12 months mate.
I have a soft spot for nice red or pink colored acros so the watermelon one is my favorite![]()
Wow, RMF Acid Trip and Rommels WM!!! Awesome frags buddy.
Mark,
I have the tek elite fixture, and I am certain it does not put out nearly as much light as the ATI fixtures do, I have my eye on a powermodule, if I score it, I can assure you the fixture will be at least 6-8" off the water line, lol... I can still dream though, rightIn all seriousness, I am very happy with this light, it does a good job, I just feel that a bit more light will help the lower corals in the tank, and maybe give me a bit more color. I do not have a PAR meter, would be kind of cool to know though... I appreciate you checking in on the thread, I hope all is well your way my friend!
Very very nice. I'll have to come by and see your tank, just ignore the bone cutter clipper that'll be in my back pocket.
Now where did I put my turbo exlax so Perry go's away for a few minutes
Looking good Perry, can't wait to see some of the named frags grow up!
wow another stunning tank congrats.
Charles, now that is some funny crap, no pun intended, lol.... :spin3: Bring the bone cutters, I have plenty of beauties ready when you are! How are the tester frags doing, will be looking for an update
Yes, me too... If you scroll the pics of the frags from the top of the page to the updated ones, you will see a tissue darkening on the PL, with more pronounced pink, and with the RWM, you will see more electric green in the base towards encrusting point to the glue, more pronounced pink hues as well. The RMFAT remains unchanged at this point. I have other frags that I have not updated in awhile as well, but did lose my SSC to likely a turbo snail, and my goby, so on the hunt for another
Thank You!
Tank is doing well. I'm battling some algea and cyano which I expected due to the rock being exposed to so much PO4 and N03 for 2 years without a skimmer, pellets or water changes.
I'll do a quick update on my thread.
