Im sending the bill for broken drool soaked electronics your way:jester:

Holy crap man! The colors are off the charts! There is no doubt that the AF products do the job, its amazing every time I look in my tank or see something from yours.

Incredible! Good show!
I cannot believe that something as ordinary and common as a Ponepe Bird's nest can look so extra ordinary and uncommon.
It shows us that its the keeper's husbandry not the coral's lineage that is important.
Don't stop with the pics.

Perry, seeing this thread for the first time, kinda breezed through the 47 pages, missed what happened to that teal staghorn. It reminded me of a staghorn I used to have in my tank which was abrolhosensis.

Where did it go, and how would someone get a frag of it?

On the rest of your corals, your color morphs are just absolutely amazing.

Wow, Perry! It doesn't get much better than that!

Thanks Matt! Just wanted to update some photos, that first coral is basically white now, with blue at the tips, very much of an ice look. Cheers!

Lol Matt with that excessive drool, you fit right in with the doggies :) Thanks man for the kind words, I have no doubt that AF has taken the tank to the next level. Cheers my brother!

Thank you Kevin, and I appreciate that you understand the importance of coral keeping is more interesting to me than a name. Don't get me wrong, there are some beauties out there, but there are also some non-named beauties too. I have a few that I have not even posted pics of, I have been patient, waiting for them to achieve proper coloration. Some of these pieces are mind blowing, so I am excited to wait it out. That ponape coral was almost a lawn ornament when I was given a bunch of corals. It was bleached with only a few random spots of tissue. It is now one of my stunners, I do not care that it is a seri, it has beautiful colors that compliment the spread of colors I am trying to accomplish throughout. Thanks for taking notice man!

Great update pics there! colors are amazing for sure

Thanks Rodney, fairly certain I am getting close to dialed in with balling program from AF, I certainly think that the consistent trace additions have pushed colors along. Thanks for taking notice! Cheers

Indeed, must admit you have some seriously coloured SPS  The Ponape is an eye catcher

Ahh....Thanks for stopping in and checking things out, yes Ponape is a beauty, I am just letting her max out, much more room to go... That piece is nearly the size of a volleyball well about 2/3 the size anyway, lol... I am pretty sure that it is happy in that location :)

2nd to last one....... What is it and how to I get it in my tank?

That is a piece that came in on a wild aussie shipment from the LFS I used to work part time with. They call it SB Sweet Tart because of the pastel in both the blue and pink.(Stormborn Reef, and they ship) To me it looks like a variant of a shortcake, but more in the pastel coloration. This is the color it is regardless of my conditions, it takes on a more blue and less pink in lower par and higher nutrients. I have been watching that one closely, it has really taken off. It was about 1" 4 months ago. Cheer Mike!

Thank you very much, I appreciate you looking the journal over, sorry for the long read, lol... I still have that coral, though when I re-scaped back in early December, it broke in several pieces. Because people are so lazy and won't drive in Orlando, I didn't even bother trying to sell frags, I took the best colored tip, and chucked the broken pieces out in the yard. The piece I have is amazingly colored, I will post up a pic of it specifically for you! Cheers

Hmm checked out the stormborn reef website... Not one coral on there I could find?

Michael, If you really want that piece, PM me, I will get with the store to see if they can ship to you and cost, etc. Cheers

 Very nice! It's almost glowing!

Desalwii???

Mindy, Chips Acro, but in species terms it was debated often over whether it is a Desalwi or Horrida. Either way, I love it's growth pattern and deeply saturated colors. This is a show piece in the tank on the "ledge". Cheers!

wow Perry! nice pictures as always...

i´m one day at Interzoo and nearly miss your update! :D

thanks for sharing mate!!

Flo

Did you check out the AF booth yet? Looks like they put a ton of work into that studio. I wish I could be there man, looks like a dreamy time my friend! I hope you left your wallet at home ;) Cheers my friend!

Cracking photos as always. This is my favourite. It looks like a desalwii. I like the deep colouration on this coral. How much PAR and flow does it receive?

Hey Bulent, it is an ORA piece, they called it Chips Acro, I know names are not your cup of tea, but it was sort of debated in the day, as to whether or not is was a Desalwi or Horrida. Either way I like it, it gets high light, I would guess in the 400 range. It also gets a ton of flow. The polyps are very long, it is a hairy coral indeed, a wave motion sways the polyps back and forth, a real treat to see in person. Cheers Bulent!

sure buddy! had a nice talk with Greg Dyzma!
Studio looked amazing!

Good thing is that it´s a retailer event only, so you can´t buy anything there, good for my wallet :D

I have seen pics that they say are Chips Acro but the base is white not green, and the tips purple not blue. The build and polyps are exactly the same as yours.

Have you seen it in that color variation or would that be a completely different acro just being labeled with the popular[expensive] name?

I ask because I have one like this. It was purchased as an unknown acro.

Kevin,
As you can see, it was more in favor of the Chips look a year ago. The coral has most certainly morphed. I remember reading on this coral, and "Horace" a sps guru around here back in the day, had the same thing happen. This is what is confusing regarding species ID, it tables like a desalwi, but has the bushy branches that shoot vertically like the horrida. We spoke about this at RAP, how corals can morph in colors and in growth structure based on flow and light, nutrients, etc... This is what has caused certain corals to gain unwarranted hype for being something else already named. This is a pic when it just started settling in, about a year ago. Cheers Kevin :)

Mike,
I change Carbon, Zeolites, and Phos Minus every 4 weeks. Funny thing is I registered 0.02 on PO4 yesterday, which will likely increase as I think it is time to do an exchange. I do this because I am running all medias in one singe reactor. Thanks for the compliment my friend :) Cheers!
