Looks great Perry! I'm using sand for the first time in my 120 as well, specifically to keep wrasses and inverts....I like the look, but I'm waiting to see how it affects stuff long term.
Thank You! I think it is important to have sand sifters, like cucumbers, sand sifting stars, tiger conchs, nassarius, ceriths, gobies, and any others I may have left out. This is why I choose the Reef Flakes, and for a very shallow bed. I want the benefit of a high flow environment for acros, but want the diversity as well. Thanks for looking over the journal
Thank You
It completed the look, looks a lot more natural now IMHO.
Even with your flow, do you agree with most and say the sand doesn't move? Looks great, that's for sure!
I can see the mp40 toward the bottom moving the sand ever so gently, as to not create a storm, but the detritus is lifting into the water column. If I had small grain sand, the tank would be a mess, lol... So yes, seaflor or reef flakes is a great choice for those who want the best of both worlds
I love the look with sand also.

What gobies are you looking to get?
Thanks Ed! I am thinking of getting a yasha, yellow watchman, and likely a small sand sifter too. Stormborn Reef has the best fish around, they really are a class act at treatment of livestock, so I will pay a visit there, likely today. As far as wrasse go, yellow coris, melanarus, four line, and mystery are on deck. Cheers
as i said on fb looks really good!
hope it all turns out the way you hope!
let the wrasse come!
Cheers Buddy
Thank you Flo!!!
I'm digging it too. Looking forward to seeing the left side fill out.
Thank You,
I don't know why I loaded up the right and left all my slowest growers on the left side, but agree when it fills in, I will have a more complete look. Just time and patience I suppose
