Perry's 120 Gallon Reef

Top notch Perry! :D I'm not sure what else can be said haha. Your acid trip still has to be one of my favourites acro's of all time! :D

@plyle02..tank is looking awesome. cant seem to find it on thread, but how much and how often are you dosing the aquaforest coral e? I have a bottle of it for my +-75gallon tank which im currently running zeovit on and want to see how it impacts on the colours

Also, does the Micro E also have an impact on the improvement of sps colours?

I have a picture question if you don't mind. What lights do you have on when snapping pictures and what do you do with camera settings and post photo editing. Your pictures are awesome

Some decent pics taken this am, have worked on coral placement to even out the reef, the left side is taking off, certain corals, like acid trip, have visual signs of branching, very cool to see the growth coming along... Regards,

Love this photo update, Perry!
Looking so good. Colours are perfection..
Like I've said, a fine tuned instrument you got there in AF. You are a surgeon in top form!
Beautiful.
Give us some shots from the show. (Jealous!)

Catching up Perry, looking great!

I think I need to see the Red Robin. :) Mine is still brown, but it's a good looking brown with just barely red tips. Polyp extension is crazy so I'm not worrying for another 6 months when maybe I can get just a tad more red out of it. :lolspin:

I second the request for show pics.

If possible, let us know pricing being asked. I would love to see choice pieces for sale at reasonable pricing to get me to go to another show.

Maybe the west coast gets better selection then we see here in Fl.

Thanks.

Thank You Dom! The Acid Trip is really looking beautiful these days, I also consider it one of my favorites too, lol... Thanks again!

Hello and thank you for the compliment. I am dosign 4 drops of AF Energy(Coral E previous name) every other day... I have no experience with Micro E, but given all the same heavy metals and trace are wrapped into the Component 123 dosing, I can say yes I have seen color shifts, but as far as the product itself, no reason to dose at this time... Thanks!

Hey watchguy123, thank you, I am glad you like the photos! I currently use a Cannon EOS Rebel T1i, setting on Raw, and dial on "Flash Off". I post edit using Picassa 3. I use the auto color, then auto contrast, and sometimes darken the background, but that is really it. I also do turn off my Reefbrite LED strips during photos and only take pics under t5's. Cheers!

Oh Matt, now that is really cool of you to say, I am very happy with the tank, more fish now, and things just keep moving along. Not taking as many pics and unfortunately feel like I am having a hard time hitting the reef boards like usual, but soon things should sort of calm down with work, at least I hope :) Yeah, looking pretty good to be at MACNA, and meeting with Seweryn and Debora will be cool too!

Thanks Mark,
The Red Robin is certainly on of my most favorite corals, simply love it! Thanks for looking over the tank, and I am certain that given your recent color and growth boom, it will get there in no time at all :)

Thanks Kevin, I will take pics and it will most certainly be a blast I am sure! Hope all is well man!

The "pink" is starting to hit a very cool stride Perry. Also, what is that hot orange acro at the bottom of pics 3/4?

Wow!, Perry, I don't know what to say. It looks like you are inventing new colors!

It will be something watching these transition and morph. That first piece that is now lavender is surreal.

Thanks Tim! Yes the pink one has potential like crazy, been keeping a close eye on it :) The orange one is the Acid Trip Milli, and that is my #1 coral in the tank, very special coral to me, here is the full top down :)

Thanks Kevin, the colors are fun to watch, I have some pieces that change back in forth in subtle hues :) Thanks for the kind words man!

Yes,
Finally have a day off in 10 days straight of working, so I needed to have a bit of fun with the camera, and it is very stormy here today, no reason to go outside, lol... Cheers Mate!

Hey Matt,
Many thanks man, these maricultured tenuis have some crazy potential, especially the pink one, I can see some hues that could really take off, so I will continue to show progress... I still have some stubborn ones, but hey, don't we all :) Thanks Matt!

it does seem to be amazing the growth just kicks up a gear with AF components123+ that blue ones growth for 3 weeks is crazy!
And I don't even want to talk about the acid trip.....

Perry, your tank is always amazing! It just keeps getting better :inlove: the improvements on those pieces kicks ***! Lol

I have to say, that I always say, your acid trip is still one of the best acros/millis out there :D

Perry you should start selling your water change water as a miracle cure and make a little on the side  I'd get some shipped to me haha

Yep, the system will flat out grow corals! :) The acid trip is going off!

Thanks, not lucky to have access to those amazing Aussie corals, but once in awhile we score a Fire Truck, if you will, then we know we have a little gem in our back pocket ;) I used to think the Polish had special water back in the day, I have come to realize there is more than water with their success... Cheers Mate!

Perry, how much DIY Components 123 do you daily dose in you tank?

Right now I am at 230ml per day, recently I began to mix the Component system myself, and I can see that the formulas I made are just a bit more concentrated, that is good by me.... Just have a few tweaks to make based on using old test kits and dosing Mag and Ca as I thought they were low, Salifert is amazing, but when you get towards the end of their tests, they seem to read the same, which led me to dose when I shouldn't of, along side the system that is.
