oh i forgot to ask.i am thinking clowns ia a couple weeks.i usally see clarkiis(saddle clowns?)in carpets.i dont mind the look of them but size wise they get too big for my style and are a little rough demeanor wise from what ive read.i love the look of picassos, and onyx.will they host a carpet or is it hit and miss.

I would put the idea of clown fish off for a couple of months to make sure the anemone is good and healthy. Once the anemone starts keeping its mouth closed, feeding regularly, and shows signs of growth, then start thinking about clown fish. You have done a great job with this anemone so far, so you don't want to rush things now. Good luck.

Yes, take it slow, don't make the mistake of many of trying to put a clown with an anenome all in the same lunch hour. the worst thing is to have everything start going wrong and you get discouraged, and then you have to start over again. Start a scrap book of pictures!

I have a pair of rods onyx in my carpet right now. they also have access to a GBTA but they spend the majority of their time in their carpet and sleep in it at night.

open mouth at night usually is a sign dissolved O2 levels are lower then youd like.

increase circulation and aeration.

i pump 2000 gph on a 60g with alot of surface agitation.i dont know if the o2 is dropping at night though.this thing was looking bad there especially at night(petco carpet part2).it always looks good after lights come on.but this thing wont attach.it just sat on top of the sand and then i thought it attached only to see the foot again yesterday.i moved sand and put him straight on the glass.he hooked,so after a hour i backfilled some sand around him.this morning again he looks good, but the foot is unatttached.(!@#$#@!@).dont know what to do.i upped the flow on him a little and have gotten my sg almost to.025 will raise it the rest of the way today to .026.dont know what else to do,just gonna
wait it out i guess.

it has been a week.please i need some advice.this thing is the craziest thing i ever had.i am trying not to stress but i dont want to crash my tank or any thing.i will say that he has attached, his color is good,he is super sticky and his tentacles are longer than ever.but his mouth worries me and about 2 minutes after the lights came on he expelled something for a good 30 seconds, it looked like hot water(i know it wasnt)but you know made the water wavy.hope that makes sense.please i need some advice and have got no responses.heres some pics.

thanks guys.

I would try feeding some soft food like muscle scallop any thing w/o a skeleton. Soak the food in a vitiman like selcon or vitichem it looks to me like its saying "FEED ME "

squid works awesomely well too.

and like charlie i used to use selcon ive switch to a product call algamac ara works great.(ps the company gives out free 25g samples it will last a long time)
