To each their own I guess...... But I have to disagree with you on this one GSMguy!

The Picassos shown here are not just O.K., they're outstanding!!

I don't see any of the things you've mentioned, i.e. bent gills, or smashed faces.

I would have to agree with gsm guy ive have seen the characteristics he has talked about many times, i have also seen pictures in this same thread

I'm not exactly sure what bent gills mean or exactly look like, but I think mine has them. It's like they are flared out a bit?
It does bother me, but if the quality of life is just the same, then I'm not going to give it any less of a chance at a good home. I hope they live a long life with me.

it's just prefrence of what you like, my picasso's are all really nice ive had rods and picasso's and honestly they look the same i have yet to get a picasso with smashed face,bent gills etc. ive had a rods onyx with bend gill disease, but that doesn't mean that rods onyx are bad, they are all different, really depends where you get your fish and people you know ive had 4 pairs of picasso's all doing great,,, 3 pairs rods with one single clown having bend gill disease... i think just buy what you like and dont worry what others say!!!more pics guys!!

i just love the the balance of the white, orange & black on picassos...love the black on rod's...it's second to none...but wish it had more variation on the whites to balance the colors out...

and bent gill disease? anyone have any pics of how that looks like?
