yes they hatched but unfortunately it was over the holidays and i was away. i anticipate another spawn within the next couple days.
 
Nice thread very interesting I also have some nice different True perc pairs in the works. Very interestig to see your results.
 
do you have a live webcam we can all stare at the next few nights? jking.

oh man put me down for hours staring at your fish i bought my onyx because of you and if i ever lost one i would definetly try a pair like yours some sort of rare with the rods your fish rock they make me jealous cant wait for the next spawn i have been feeding BBS to my onyx along with Ora Glow crushed up and spectrum flakes and cyclops i like to see their bellys sweel fter they eat those brine they love them is there any way to enrich baby brine by ffeding them something i wonder.
any way love your fish cant wait till my babies grow up

No way I am going to secretly hook up a webcam at Rod's Reef, so you can look in on the babies whenever you want! :p

Anyway, you might be shocked and surprised to see what goes on in that DeKalb IL Onyx hachery........ :lol:

BTW, if you lived in ChiTown, you'd have a bunch of us who'd be willing to tank-sit for you when you go on vacation.....;)

Yea, Rod has each of us Aunts & Uncles do baby Onyx sitting, but we are sworn to secrecy concerning food and care! :p

Of course, Rod mixes just a little bit of Chicago franks in with the Rod Food, which give the babies their unique disposition....;)

spawn #2 has begun :) its hard to see it though bec the btas are in the way, but i definetly can see some orange eggs. :)

will try to take pics if possible
