Thats awsome! congrats again, I know your gonna do great in raising them!

I want to put a reserve on the one 14th row up & 8th from the left please :)

 That one is mine already... Plus the one three below it!

It's so nice to see the nieces and nephews swimming at last! ;)

Congrats embryoguy you must be really thrilled. I too hope to breed mine someday. Good luck with the whole process. Im sure it will be a success b/c you seem very committed.

sorry to say but, ive lost around 100 this morning :(

they were all swimming strong late last night. i think i will keep an ambient light on 24hrs with the next batch. im down to about 150.

With the next batch try running the lights for the first 48 hours and keep the water green with fresh phyto. Keep rotifers available, but not to many or they will over eat.

frog , thanks for advise. im going to do that exactly. thats kinda what i learned from this first time around. :) i started a live phyto culture to get ready for next batch. i tried using Instant algae and i think that was the variable for the demise.

but as of late day 3, i have about 50 strong. curled tail with eating motion again :) so i feel better at this point. im more hopeful.

to my surprise, spawn #3 came a day earlier than #2. :)

this batch looks like around 500-600.

update on #2. i have about 30 that appear to be in good shape. eating well.

12/16/06 Spawn #3

A Day earlier than spawn 2.

8:00pm

i will definetly do things differently with this #3. hopefully will result in a higher yield.
